Finally got a chance to try the biometric scanning for my passport at Batam during departure. Very fast.

1) First Insert your Passport to Scan
2) Then proceed into gantry and look at the camera
3) Lastly place your index finger on biometric, thats it

Note this is for departure only. Entry to batam still need queue and chop passport

Not many people know we singaporean can use the biometric scan therefore you can see a long queue at departure. Batam also never put staff to assist and guide tourist. Very inefficient.
