I think you need to decisive when upping, you cannot try to up one and before upping skip to up another nick. This will make the upping become a zapping although nothing highlighted. When you up just remember to tick the I approve box then click Add Reputation.

If you zap in this non-zap sub-forum then no point will be deducted but you cannot up the person again until you up 1000 others.
