Re: Manchester United's Headliners, Articles and Rumours
Has been a good week for Man Utd.
Though I view the 3 points earned as more significant than a win over our old rivals.
Even more significant was leaving out Rashford and Garnacho.
Rumours are swirling fast and furious about Rashford's exit, but it seems RA is being diplomatic and leaving a door open by saying that he wants to help Rashford return to his best.
But I think Rashford is not going to go MaGuire mode and fight for his place, Rashford saying he is ready for a new challenge speaks to his high opinion of himself.
He isn't even ready to do run backs and help his own team defend, much less for new challenge.
At this point, I am for him leaving.
For £325000/week, I expect him to do a RvN or CR7, and he don't look like it, not by a long shot.
Why and what was the face Fernandes was doing when he scored the penalty ?
When Højlund equalised against Viktoria Plzeň, he did not celebrate but went for the ball to bring back to midfield for restart.
His intensity, determination and desire is exactly what Man Utd need.
Garnacho - Will he bounce back and add a new dimension to his game or be sulking again ?
Up to him to choose to be Rashford the 2nd, or be the 2nd Giggs.
Hope he does not waste his potential.
Since Amorim started at Man Utd, I think what he wants to do each match was to first build the team, results are nice but not as important as the building.
I think his aim is build the team first, have a team spirit, when that is done, the results will come.
Ugarte, Mazraoui and Amad are leading very well by example.
We need more of them.
Pity about Mount getting injured again, I wish I could say he is a glass cannon, but really just more like glass for now.
Overall, we are starting to look quite good.
There will be more unexpected defeats incoming, but I expect it will be at least matches Man Utd will play to the final whistle and show the fighting spirit and desire.
We, Man Utd, have hope.
