Jokes aside, some gals got married ceremoniously but without any legal document to prove. ie marriage is not recognized by the law but people and relatives all know she is married to this guy. So theoretically she is married but legally she is not. This is a common practice in Thailand among some of hi-so classes, this is to safe guard against the richer ones to a certain extend.
