Wife's pregnancy may only be 1 of the reasons.
My gf's (from Ha'erBin in China) cousin, 1 week before her wedding, even asked me to organise the Bachelor's Party for her then husband-to-be (a Shanghainese), go have fun in KTV (in China)! Would SG gals be so magnanimous?
The gals' families, ie, my gf & her cousins', are quite rich & influential. When I went on holiday with her families while my gf is away in Canada, her uncles even bring me go visit WLs!!! Their theory is simple: men have this physical needs, if yr gal / woman is not beside u, especially because of her work (women's priority & duty to family comes 1st), then go WL. Don't get emotionally involved, just a transaction to fulfill physical needs only.
When some of my European associates were shuttling between Europe & China/Taiwan regularly, my gf, her cousin & the local gals were also joking, I should bring him go WL, "try the local products!" When I told the gals these ang mohs' wives are giving birth soon, they're too excited about expecting the babies to think about sex, these gals reply to me, "all the more they need to release! They must have pent it up there for a long time oredi!!!"
But of course, the bottom line is, after going to WL, don't ever go proudly declare to yr gal / woman that u did that. It's totally showing no respect to her, in fact, insulting her!!! If u can't bonk / "feed" her because u went to WL, then it's your fault. When it comes to bonking, the gal / woman at home should have 1st priority.
