Vietnamese tried hard to get into USA for the past 30 years without much success. Most normal vietnamese are still stuck in Vietnam. With Singapore now opening its door to foreigners, Vietnamese find it easier to reside in singapore thru different means. USA and Singapore are similar in many ways more than one. Singapore is also First World country which is same as USA. Couple with the fact that Singapore Dollar is strong and the difference between SGD and USD is getting smaller. Talk to the cab driver or any other normal vietnamese on the street of Vietnam now, they will tell you Singapore is No. 1. And almost every other normal vietnamese is thinking of shifting to Singapore. I got 3 proposals from 2 different vietnamese entrepreneurs this year to date. all of them have son or daughters studying in Singapore and they want me to start a company with my name and let their son/daughter work in this company. They are not willing to pay for office rental as they want to use my office and they are also not willing to pay for others. Only willing to pay a small sum each month to me for helping. I think they have under-estimated the intelligence of singaporean.
