Shark fins just like bird nest. Have different grades and quality. Some are the top end,some are the not so refined ones.

That's why the price difference.

As long as u enjoy the taste of the product , I feel it justifies the price u are paying. What matters is the taste of it.

Just go to the resturants to be on the safe side. Never tried roadstalls for sharks fin or bird nest myself before. Nam Sing should be a fairly safe bet.
