Just want to remind fellow brothers that medical treatment is heavily subsidised in Vietnam. The local vietnamese need not pay huge price tag for treatment in government hospitals. Normal operation will cost only a mere few hundred dollars and daily hospitalisation will only cost around 100K VND a day in HCMC. In the province, its even cheaper. Normally, if the patient suffers from more serious illness, they will be transferred to hospitals in HCMC.
I know of many vietnamese gf who ask for lots of money from their singapore bf, using the excuse of their parents is in hopsital in Vietnam. This is an old trick that they use, so don't be so easily taken in.
