Similarly for béo and mập.... both means fat, one commonly used in the south while the other in the north, not difficult for you to figure out which is which, right?

Another interesting one is the meaning of pork... thịt lợn (north) & thịt heo (south). Be careful how your pronounce the northern one... it would sound very offensive if you pronounce it wrongly.
