Let me see whether I can give you a glimpse into the past ....... it is just like you got married through a matching making and when the girl come in the room the first thng she do is to fold your T-shirts, shirts and put you shoe in a corner with the socks been fold into and slip in your shoe accrodingly separating left and right.
Then they will turn on the water (if your room have bath-tub) and make sure that the water is luke warm just nice......without much talking just smiling whenever you look at her......!
After that they will pull the curtain to make sure you can only barely walk within the room with the minimun lights.......as they are shy and they will bath (majority wouldn't unless you have ordered them for a few times already....!

Those good old days, parent of working girls do lease their daugthers for some soft loan and their daugthers will follow the middleman to be auction off to the OKT their bids.....of which there is a town about another 60 kms (been there once only) to actually do all the nego....means offering the high bids for chun ladies and cheaper for not so good looking one...!
Then, just for example, their parent took a 1000 bahts loan, then now after the auction, they are sold for 1,600 bahts so the OKT says now you own me 1000 bahts (base price, the bid money is for the OKT to bear) and it will be a 60% for the girl and 40% for the OKt.
Out of the 60% profits...maybe another 40% is to offset against the loan and another 10% is for lodging and food if there is no customer.....trust me those days the dormitary is a piece of shit with about 8 girls into a room....so hotel room is also preferred...hahahahah!
So left 10% for own pocket money.
If the OKT pays a high price, the OKT is taking a risk by his judgment and that is how they determine the selling price.....! The higher the price is more profit for him....understood! The higher the girl is priced the faster they can go home....that is why they tends to treat customer better for return bookings....! Also more profit for the OKTs..! How do I know so much about it....when I further my studies (luckily for me) one of my best school friends follow his father to become an OKT to help his father out! His farm is known as ROSE! Still exist though under a different boss as my friend business flops after the bomb incident in Hatyai!
Until the girl have finished their loan they are not allowed to go back.....! When they go back and buy thngs for the family, the parent will be very very proud as the saviour for the family..and the money that they bring back is mainly from tips! Or those who have finish thier "loan" tends to stay-back and do "FL" to make extra money by going to the tour agents and tack along with them for customers!
So those golden days, where disco and karaoke don't even exists yet...only pub and cafes ....shopng and eating nothng much, that is hwy we go to the beach Songkla or "Nam Tok" to pass our time....and massage is one of the most popular past time.

Nowadays all is free-lance they can come and go as they wish in fact the OKT is at their mercy as they come means more merchanise to display for the OKT.....so running in the middle of the night even you complain to the OKT...nothing much can be done except to refund 50% of the fee...the most that they can do...!
Those days either the girls were actually beaten or their loan sum is being increased by a higher interest hence the girls have to work longer than suppose to.
