Maybe the best liar is the man himself; who thinks that the girl likes him ,
feels that the girl is an honest girl, thinks that he is the only man of the girl, that the girl is not out for his money only, etc, etc. And the man is always and always giving the girl one last chance, then another last chance ..then another.. until the girl run away and then no more chance.

The man himself is lying to himself and cannot see things from the other side.
