For me, it depends on what the issue/thing is....If its something that concerns her or have something to do with the kids and family as a whole, i will discuss with her...
If its my own personal issues and things that does not really affect her, then I will just carry on and tell if she ask.
Sometimes, some things are better left unsaid and undiscussed so that it can be done without much fuss....But I think they key is to let them know that even if we do not tell them some things, we are doing it with their interests in mind..
