While, Ian returns to the his hotel.. to retrieve new clothings for me.. Lady A and myself head towards the room because i was soaked in well.. some crazy shit..
When we are in the lift, I did a self introduction in order to break that awkard silence.
Me: My name is Robert, i am from Singapore. Hi and to be honest it is not so nice to meet you ( i was refering to her sickening friend)
Lady A: Yeah, and i have got to "开房" with a man i have just met for an hour or so.. and worse still.. i have to pay!!
Me: haha, u got my joke.. thats good
Lady A: seriously, i am really embarassed because i am a staff of this hotel. Infact, we are all working in this hotel.
Me: oh.. really. no wonder the moment we walk towards the front desk, with one hand signal they gives u the key without even asking u what room u would like even.. if u are a staff then u shouldnt be paying no? All i need is to clean myself up and change my clothing.. i dont need the stay for the night..
Lady A: yeah i know.. but i am a Director of Sales here.. i cannot simply just abuse my authority can i?
Me: haha.. and guess what? Ian is one of the main shareholders for XXX hotel which is officially opening tomorrow..
Lady A: oh really? if thats the case how come you guys are here? Spying on us?
Me: haha nope.. to be honest. Ian mentioned the wine bar here has got some class ( of course i cannot tell her our intention so directly rite?)
And u know.. until now.. you still havent introduce yourself..
Lady A: oh sorry.. i am so caught up with the earlier incident.. my name is Claudia and those ladies with me from the Sales and Marketing Department.
Me: i see.. so you are their ah head la?
Lady A: we are all colleagues
(she is kinda humble isnt she?)
Then we reached the designated room, i quickly just rush towards the washroom to take off the shit soaked clothings on me after she opened the door. Then I proceed for a quick shower... after i am done I just put on a shower robe with any underwear..
When i was showering myself.. i thought maybe i can try and fish this lady here.. haha.. anyway among the group of girls, she catches most of my attention..
Me: wah this is good..
Claudia: huh (she was watching tv while waiting for me) oh wow.. never knew you have six pacs..
Me: oh .. i do exercise alot..( making my way and pulled a chair over as i did not want to mess up the bed)
Claudia: just sit on the bed.. i am gonna have to pay anyway.
Me: well, i really dont think it is fair for u to pay u know? u should ask the crazi bitch to pay for this mess.
Claudia: her names Elizabeth. She had a hard day. We went drinking because of her and she is not a crazi bitch.
Me: dont get offended.. take it easy man... i am not trying to insult her or what. imagine yourself in my shoes.. you will have the same reaction wouldnt u?
Claudia: ... (think she is pissed with me saying her staffs a crazi bitch)
Me: er since you are gonna pay for the money.. how about making full use of this room?
Claudia: what are you implying?
Me: dont worry i am not refering to that ... ( yet
) you look tired.. and maybe u wanna lie on the bed and sleep.. i will be off any min now.
Speaking of which, my phone rings...
Me: hello? Ian u on the way?
Ian: Sorry Rob. I am really caught up now.. when i was on the way to \the hotel, Trish (ex wife) actually called up sayin our son is admitted to the hospital! I am on my way to the hospital.. u might just want to stay there for the night.. i will pick u up first thing at 9 am. k?
Me: huh??? what happened to Alex?
Ian: Food Poisoning. (actually this incident is the so called the milk poisoning incident in china) I am not so sure .. but something to do with the milk he has been drinking..
Me: oh gawd.. u better go quickly!!
Claudia: something happened?
Me: yeah, Ian's boy was admitted into the hospital for food poisoning. So he wouldnt be back .. anytime.. and asked me to stay put til morning.
Claudia: oh.. then it is ok.. atleast this room can be fully utilized now..
Me: i need a favor from you...
Claudia: what?
Me: i think i better go to the hospital as well. it is not nice like that. Ian is a good friend.. and since i am here and he is in trouble.. i should just stick around to see what i can do. Can you get me some simple clothing and send me back to the hotel? i will find my way to the hospital myself.
Claudia: hmm.. dont think u look like a doc. and i dont think he will feel good if u go there now. you should probably just stay put and rest well.
Me: please.. i wouldnt be able to leave the room if u dont help.. so even if i stay put i am bored..
After I insisted of leaving, she got me some clothes and sent me back to the hotel i am staying.
Claudia: look it is late, but if u wanna go.. i can send you anyhow it is along the way home for me.
Me: ok.. u wait here.. give 10 mins.. a quick change..
10mins later we set off to the hospital.. to our astonishment. It looked like a crisis.. there were quite a few childrens being sent to the hospital. the whole place was in tension.
I found Ian somewhere in the hospital while he was having an arguement with Trish.
Ian: look Rob, i think theres nothing you can do here.. maybe u should head back and rest.
Me: yeah.. but then it is not so nice to see Trish and u in such a state. Maybe with me around the atmosphere is better isnt it?
Trish: ... this is our problem. and i dont think u should stay here and see show.
Ian: Rob is just trying to help. Stop being unreasonable would u?
Then they start to quarrel again. I couldnt stop them.. But i stayed around.
