I am not sure where to start, so will start with some connectors I find quite helpful understanding the flow of conversations.
Connectors
cung = together, pronounced as "kong"
cung = also/too, pronounced as "kuung"
nen = should, pronounced as "nan"
dung nen = should not
lai = again, pronounced as "lie".
nhat nhat = the most (used in the context of "love the most")
se = event that will happen, pronounced as "say" (can be used in the context of "will" as in "will not, se khong")
va = and, pronounced as "vaa"
voi = with, pronounced as "vui"
Descriptions
tot = good, pronounced as "toot"
som = early, pronounced as "soom"
Objects
bia = Beer , pronounced as "beer" (I guess alcohol in general sense as well)
khoe = health, pronounced as "quear"
khoe manh = healthy, pronounced as "quear maik"
may bay = aeroplane, pronounced as "maai baai"
moi = lips, pronounced as "moor"
ve may bay = plane ticket, pronounced as "vea maai baai"
xe o to = car, pronounced as "seh auto"

bat may = pickup (used in the context of phone)
