You are right. Definitely the shower/toilet is separated for hygiene purpose. Can imagine if they put that toilet part next to kitchen

FYI, the house is very small size, bamboo fence, front windows with no glass, just a decorated iron bars with curtain. Floor is uneven laid bricks. The house sectioned into 2 part, front part where the TV and dining table, back part is where the kitchen and bed. That's it. Walk about 5 to 6 metres from the back door to toilet. The house close to padi (rice) field.
