As this article says, the Opposition are willing to force her out at expense of people. She is doing her best to protect Bangkok (majority of whom do not support her party) at expense of her supporters in other provinces who are suffering more floods. And yet most of her critics are these Bangkok elite establishment. People should give this lady a break.

Prior to 2006, there wasn't any flood, other than the one in 1938.

That is right. She only took office is Aug2011 and floods started in July2011. The Irrigation Department under previous Govt should have started draining water at start of floods before she took office.
