This is something similar to my close friend case her stepdaughter is 5 years old this year and my friend wanted to bring her to Singapore for study. This is what the prcoess is like cause i help him out this the application.
1. Apply for a school which her stepdaughter is accepted by PAP education (K1) centre. The school will apply for student pass using the school solar systems , then with the solar number you can start to apply and submit infomation of the applicant online and you have to want for either 2 week to 2 month for the result.
2.For his case reply from ICA in 3 week and document required
this are the 2 important document and rest is quite easy to obtain BC etc...
Proof of legal custody or statutory declaration consent from applicant natural father if custody is to applicant father.
Stautory declaration by applicant stepfather that he has accepted the child as the member of the family provided all the neccessary things like a family member. All this must be submited to ICA in 2 weeks , after submit by post wait for approval.
3.2 weeks later news from the school student pass approval and still subject to be approval by ICA after orginal document is present to ICA together with the applicant at ICA.
4. All this application and printing of letter of request from ICA can only be obtain from the school and ICA will not print any document for you. The process is quite similar to applicantion for LTVP all can be check from the website.
