my marriage is registered in SG. If you planned to register at VN, please prepared for a long process. I remembered i tried to do that as follow:
1) To obtain the marriage status from ROM in SG. It must be a original letter.
2) Singapore Embassy in VN. To endorse all documents, including your passport
3) Foreign Affair for VN. To endorse before translation, cant recall if it's 6 set copies. (4 days minimum)
4) Translation from English to VN (4 days again...)
5) Bring the translated copies to be endorsed again... (4 days...)
6) Get your VN girl to Cong An to obtain the marriage status
7) They need a guarantor (they must own a piece of property in VN)
8) Visit the mental hospital for test.. (this is the funny part.. lol..) (about 1 week for result.. 2 months validity)
9) Register for interviews with their marriage department. (2 interviews.. about 1 week waiting time each)
If you are prepared for the above.. go ahead.. you still need to translate everything back to English when you are back to SG...
