Though I rarely post, I have been following SB for a long while. Personally, it is rather difficult to get an FL in Vietnam and the hotel restrictions do not help either. I have been to HCM and Hanoi numerous times since 2.5 years back and the best you get is a HJ.
About 3 months back, hooked up with a girl working in the exec lounge in a HCM hotel. She has been my regular travelling partner (when I travel to Hanoi or Bangkok, she is in HCM) since. Best part is she speaks very good English. I have never paid her except for airfares to Bangkok, and it is like a regular relationship though I have made known from the start that I am married. But of course I do buy her gifts and all.
So, in my opinion, it may be easier to hook up with a girl when in HCM, if you will be travelling there regularly. Just my 2 cents...
