I am married to a thai, got married in 1993. !st step was seek permission with MOM, they had to check whether she was working here before, after all cleared, i went to ROM to seek permission to marry overseas. After marriage, i came back went to MOM again and got registered again just for formality sake and get a Singapore Marriage Cert.
Then went to ICA and got a 3 month Visa. Its called social visit pass. After a while they gave me 6 months and after a year i got a yearly Long Term Social Visit Pass. Its as easy as ABC, not to worry.
But when you are on Long Term Social Visit Pass, every 2 years, your wife must go for HIV Test, SATA X-Ray and all that shit.
I am the only husband who has been married for 12 years, have 3 Sporean kids already but have not applied a PR for my wife until only last week. The ICA Guy asked me why so late then apply? I told him i was testing my wife's loyalty for 12 years...hehehehehe
