yes, i have read that u r a divorcee and getting married is not the 1st in yur lifetime but it is the 1st in yur wife-to-be's lifetime!

When my wife told me to hold a wedding at VN, i was concerned with the costs, i told her that i don earn much, i scared no money. She understands and says its ok not to have, but after i thought through, hey, its a once in a lifetime for both of us especially for her, so i said "ok, let's do it"

Yes, u may say holding wedding in VN is to give ang bao money to the girl's family. But u have to understand, they are still very traditional especially those in the provincial areas and giving dowry is part of their culture and tradition. Wedding to them is a big event for the family and they see it importantly especially for older generations.

in answering to yur questions:
1) its better to have them translated in VN. It is way much cheaper. I believed some bros have mentioned it here b4. I can't remeber how much, think it only a few hundred k VND. Ask yur wife go find out. She'll know.

2) yes u need a ceritfied translator not only during ROM but also during the verification and declaration at the Registry (Fort Canning). So its 2 sessions that u need a translator. Unless yur wife-to-be knows how to read and write and understand english well, Then can dont need the translator. I have 1, but i dun have her contact with me now. Will PM u tonite.
I am very lucky to find someone like her really. Imagine a girl never marry before choosing someone divorce with 2 kids alimony to pay and driving taxi as a job. If i am her, i definitely would not choose someone like that

1) Thanks bro, just called her she will do it in VN. But a bro just said no need? Need or no need seriously? Only for PR? LTSVP need or no? Because i thought i see on ICA website need?

2) I got contact from Bro Shysaint already. But if you also have contact share also please. Can compare price haha.
***she can read and write decent*** maybe my son primary 5 standard. But speak not very good. Maybe primary 1 standard, liddat need or not ah?***

New Question:-

3) Any bros or bros' friends got similar circumstances? My declared income for 1998-2007 (salaried civil service), for 2008 is 30,000, (salaried worker) for 2009 is 36,000 (salaried worker), 2010 is 42,000 (salaried worker), 2011 is 36,000 (taxi self-employed, havent start top up medisave, must faster go topup... i know).
Age 33, O level cert, alimony 600 per month, no criminal record.
Wife to be 24, no brushes with ICA. Come SG 3 times. 1 time student pass, 2 times on social visit see me.

Will i face difficulties in securing LTSVP for her looking at the above mentioned circumstances? If any bros cannot post openly kindly PM me, thanks a million!
