AC: well, there will be no shortage of chuggers in AC too .. but, you may be able to balance it out with more HONEY

If you are firm - and have stuff to do in Manila, go for it ..

And just smile if somebody including cops say "merry christmas" - it is a way of asking donation .. or used to be .. Not sure how the scene is this year ..
