There has been some amendments to the Women's Charter wef 1st September last year. Now all divorcing couples with at least one child below 8 years of age MUST attend counselling & mediation session held at the Court Resolution Centre. The session will involve child psychologist, family expert & judge-mediator together with both parents & the child. So it is safe to conclude that the outcome of the custody claims would depend on what they discover during this session.

Should any parent be absent for this session... the Courts will issue the appropriate orders against him/her and the absent party is to bear the costs of the divorce.

Monster, I guess you were unfortunate your divorce happened in a wrong timeframe before these changes or you might have had a better outcome.
