There is a small difference .. vs Singapore and most Asian countries - not just PH.

IN Singapore, if a cop is under investigation, he cannot go out in his uniform, not enter any of the police premises, or even hold on to his ID etc .. and most important of all, cannot hold on to his gun or any gun, for that matter ...

The last part is the deal clincher

Especially when I was in another country, ex-cops, cops under investigation all carry guns and when they pull their 9 mm, you don't know in which capacity they are pulling it out .. heck, they even bring their guns for shooting competitions .. for me, letting ex-cops access to guns is the scary part. I can get away with anything, but not guns .. please

Additionally, in PH Law, even while there is case pending, even when there is witness / evidence of extortion/malpractice etc .. what I know from my contacts, I understand you may be re-assigned to desk duty ,and rarely get interdicted unless and until the case becomes solid .. so you are still allowed to be in uniform .. and be in the premises .. am I wrong there ?? You can't blame the system because the legal system is such ... no, not making the PH legal system look bad, just, it is 'different' says me ..

PS: Lucky for me, my connections in PNP are smart enough to not wanting to flaunt their guns .. I feel safer.. And Then again, these maybe the exception ..
