For my case, I tried disucss this with wife many times but she just avoid it. At some point the situation improves little, but went back same. I definitely dun blame her, i know as well taking care kids is challenging.

once/twice a month sex sufficient for u guys?

Depending on the sex drive. In this case your wife's problem is obvious, taking care of kids and household saps her strength, can you use helper to help her be less tired?
