Singapura in the very beginning was already a big mistake
An honorable member of the Coffee Shop Has Just Posted the Following:
yesterday was father's day. i was explaining to my boy that Singapura should be correctly named Babipura. Sang Nila Utama couldn't have seen a lion. His aide was lying to him and probably very wrong. Lion facts: lions can only be found in the savannah desert of african plains. not in any asian countries and definitely not littledot singapore which should be called instead Pigapore. sang ni most likely saw an old wild boar with a big mane (just like a lion, maybe). so singapore's correct name should be Pigapore or Babipura or 猪加坡。:p Click here to view the whole thread at www.sammyboy.com.
