Applicaton for Electronic VISA for PRC

Hi Bro,

If you refer to my thread "Regret Marrying a PRC Wife", I have decided to arrange for my girlfriend to come over to Singapore to meet my parents, so we're one step closer to marriage.

It is her first time to Singapore. I tried to apply for a social visit VISA from the ICA website using my name as a local contact, however the application got rejected. Any suggestion what I should do next?

Maybe better for you to ask ICA what is the next step you can do after the application was rejected. Don't ask why the application is rejected, they will not reveal.

this is what you can do. print out the rejection message online. write a appeal letter. since she is your gf at the moment, i don't think there is any other support document you can bring with you. unless you want to book an ROM date which you can use to support your relationship. bring all documents to ICA and go to level 4 reception counter. tell them you are appealing for rejected VISA. you will be assign to an ICA officer which will assist you for the appeal. normally it take 2weeks for the result. the interviewer might or might not tell you the reason. it might be a simple case like information is keyed in wrongly or maybe something more complicated.

but do take note that you might not get your appeal done on the first visit. they might ask for some other documents. last week while at ICA, i overheard a man coming out of the interview room cursing that ICA wanted his bank account statement.

Following up with bro Black_Hawk_up advice, eventually if they do give an approval for a month stay here, prepare to fork out $1500 or more as security deposit (not just sign the FormV39I, but cold hard cash).

Even with money, the chances are very slim.
Just a wild suggestion. Can't she join a tour group to SG and then free-n-easy when she is here?

Just to add on for visiting in a tour group. Visit in a tour group can only allow 14 days of stay but if she apply for a valid visa, she will be allow to stay for 30 days.

I do not understand why her visa was not approved since it's her first time. Maybe you can ask her to apply for one by herself.

At the same time, NDP is just ard the corner. The security will step in SGP so probably you might want to try to get her to apply after NDP.

Just realised I got zap for giving realistic advice. I would appreciate those that zap me will realised that I am telling the truth.

Sg style, if you complain hard enough u normally get what you want.

talking abt application for electronic visa for PRCs, i hv an interesting experience, my fb asked me to apply for a short-term visit pass for her 21 y.o. step daughter, i keyed in all the data, i asked for a single journey visa, 30 days one as she wants to stay for that period. the approval came in less than 3 hours later, n to my surprise the visa is for multiple journeys and lasts for 9 weeks. of course my fb was more than happy that day and serviced me well.

Hi Bro you can ask her to go to the tour agent at her place to apply for a social visit visa.
Most of the time it is much more easy to apply in this way.
