Been there.... there are Taiwanese girls in the club, yes.
But they are those "good from far, but far from good" kind of look. Inside the place when it is dark and music is loud and you are half drunk they look pretty. Once out of the club (it's a disco club, not a KTV niteclub) and you are sitting next to them eating frog-leg porridge under bright fluorescent lighting.... the 8/10 rating drop to 5.5/10. You should go to D8 if: 1- You have fetish for Tai-Mei, whether they are cute or ugly. 2- You just want to try a new place to chill out and drink, girls or no girls unimportant. My 2 NT$ of opinion.

yup, been to this DV8 place basement of parklane...not really a KTV but a training ground for young 18+ s'porean males, etc...when they grow up, they will graduate to the real KTVs...why? cos on the stage groups of young so-called "Taiwanese" mei-mei dancers hopping around in short skits and tiny shorts non-stop, the the flower sales girls would go round soliciting the young guys to buy flowers...yup, its a "teow huay" joint for the young guys...i don't think the dancers sit with the guys...also abit skeptical that the young mei mei dancers are from taiwan, they look really plain, could be local ahlian or m'sian ah lian...who knows unless they are interviewed but the management does not allow dancers to mingle, so its anyone's guess where they are from...not recommended to the hardcore KTV chiongers out there...waste of time...step in to watch the dancers for 5 mins enough to know what's going on, this place is for kids!
