I have just went for tests and is being diagnosed with chlamydia.
the doctor have prescribe me with doxycycline. Is it the right treatment and is it easily cured? Also, if i test it in about 2 months time, will there be any records showing that i got it previously? Thank you for the advice....... |

Re: Advice needed
Chlamydia is Chlamydia. What difference does it make where it came from.
The infection is prevalent in ALL countries.

Re: Advice needed
i am just puzzled because the doctor told me that it will still indicate that i am positive in future tests as there is a scar/impact done. So i wonder if it is true.......
Anyway i got it locally. |

Re: Advice needed
I believe future tests will show the presence of antibodies. It does not mean that you still have the infection.

which mean that it is true that it will remain in future reports that you have got the disease previously.....
will it be a case where u take the antobiotics and will not clear the bacteria inside the body? |

Re: Advice needed
Go back to DSC immediately for another test. Remember to hold your urine for 4 hours before the test.
The doxycycline which u have taken may not be working for u. The doctor may prescribe u new antibiotics. Ask for panadols to ease abit of the pain. However, if after this treatment still got problems u should seek out a qualified urologist as there has been a recent case whereby this bro took alot of antibiotics until the bacteria become resistant. Clamydia is a slow recovering disease. He prescribed u 2 weeks u should finish the course of antibiotics. But if there is any new discharge or pain does not subside, u should see the doctor again. Refrain from any sexual activities with your partner as u may still infect her. Buy some cranberry juice to drink. May help to ease the pain. Remember to use a condom everytime. Quote:
