Re: Early Stages for HIV

If discovered early, at most is to help you live longer as the doctor will be able to give you stronger medications for any illness that you may have.

But even if one do not have HIV, we will still die at the end of the day. Just that our lifespans got limited by a max of 10plus years from the day we have it.

People in this world live happily because we think we will have a long life ahead of us. But who knows what may happen tomorrow.

Still it is better to play safe.

Hi Bro...

First....early stage also not curable...

however, it is not a death sentence....it means that u have to be more carefula nd resonsible...and u need to start medications asap to prevent it from getting worse....

In fact, a fren of mine (he is a Doc) told me...doctors now term HIV as a CHRONIC illness...not terminal anymore...

Re: Early Stages for HIV

Once you have HIV, you will always be HIV positive.
There is no cure.

But there's treatment. Generally, this means that there are medications and medical care to help you manage your condition and live a regular life.
Of course, there are many challenges to living with HIV. But its possible to lead a regular life with HIV.

One reason why people should go for a HIV test is so that the HIV condition can be attended to early. This would mean less complications healthwise. People who wait till they develop full blown HIV or AIDS really have alot alot alot of medical issues, and it can be rather difficult to salvage the situation sometimes.

The other important reason why people should get tested regularly is so that they can avoid passing on HIV to other people. You definitely do not want to infect your loved ones, such as your wife, gf or even children. So its better to be a responsible man, and get tested so you can do the right thing.

Yes it can be treated but it cannot be cured. Once tested positive for HIV, one will be a carrier.

Re: Early Stages for HIV

For now, there is no cure for HIV, but there is treatment.

It is very essential to get treatment early for better prognosis. Early treatment will help to keep viral loads down and maintain CD4 T cell counts. With good medication compliance, you can lead a healthy life for at least 10 years. And who knows, in 10 years, they may actually find a cure in time.

But do keep in mind that medication is very expensive, so better be safe than sorry, practice safe sex.

Bro agree with what you say. No cure but got treatment. Treatment is about 1k a month. Not only practice safe sex if possible don't 'cheong'. Be faithful to one partner.
