hmm... what a boring evening, trying to take a nap but just can't resist the mood of heading down Joo Chiat later.

Anyway, since someone posted a comparison between the 2 Dynasty KTVs over at the other thread, why not I come out with something to make a comparison between KTV Night Clubs vs Joo Chiat PUBs.

Some KTVs only need to order 3 jars of beer to waive room charges

Personally, if you ask me, if I am just heading for entertainment, JC will be a better choice in terms of value for money and play type but after spending almost a month there, my preference still goes to KTV. Probably because it is quieter, peaceful and the liking to sing. Watching soccer in a KTV room is not an issue either... kekeke...

What about your comments and perhaps share a different view as me...

i feels that it all boils down to individual preferences.some just want a place to unwind with some eye candy and dun want to spend so much.so perhaps jc is a much better place to go to but den the downside is sometime chicken and duck talk unless u can communicate in their language.

as for ktv,tho the prices are so much higher,the settings is so much more comfy,of cos must get the correct joints and gals lah.but if looking for prcs and viets gals at ktv,i think it not worth the amount u are paying cos also can get at jc at a much cheaper costs.

tis just my personal views hor.doesnt reflect anyone else opinions.every individual have their own ways of defining the worth.cheers.

Depends on wat type of KTVs you go to......places like Dynasty or Lido dun allow you to do any hanky panky in d room.............................u onli ta pao them out unlike places like K2 or Sam Palace.......u can eat them fresh!

So , bros going KTV....please identified your preferences b4 hand so that it will not be a shock or disappointment!

One's meat maybe another's poison. It's up to your-self to decide wat's more worthwhile. Some like to have it right-away (sex-shops, helath-centres, FLs) ; some love to chicken n duck (have some language barriers) ; some love to "fish" (find girl-friends in KTVs) ; others keep thems. So many varities n so many choices. It's up to u to choose.

Have never been to JC though I heard a lot about it. So it's like a place where you pick girls up and do the deal directly with them? The Viets there - upmarket or downmarket??

May just check it out one day..

Definately bro... everyone has a different view over things... this subject is just for discussion... don't wish to see flames or disagreements.

Agree that if in search for PRCs and Viets... rather head down to JC or Geylang... kekeke... more worth the price and more extra services.

As for chicken and duck talk due to different in race, I encounter the problem in Orchard Towers when I used to hang out there in the past but present at JC, the girls can speak quite well in Chinese and English to my surprise.

I always rate KTVs in 4 classes.

1st class - Orchard KTV, Las Vegas... etc
2nd class - BOSS, XTD... etc
3rd class - Paramount, IQ, BS... etc
4th class - KTV pubs like those at Tanjong Pagar... etc

Agree with you that $300 overnight is possible and my buddy managed to overnight a PRC for only $150 over at a Geylang KTV.

The price I quoted is from a 2nd class to 1 class KTV... $500 is pretty standard unless you can sweet talk the girl out then is a whole lot of different story... kekeke.

Anything can be possible when it comes down to human feelings and interation.
