I have a friend who married a thai girl that speak good english...

Until now after so many years of marriage she refuse to teach him thai...

Because she don't him to understand anything when she chit chat on the phone... and what so ever....

Ended my friend go eat outside and slowly learn from the thai girls there.... Haha....

Sometimes I think the Thais are under a great delusion of what kind of people they're. How often do you hear the Thais utter to foreigners คนไทยใจดี ? It's about the only nation in the world, I guess, whose people habitually indulge in self-praise. I believe most Thais are oblivious to the truth that they're 'innocently' cunning.

It's not just with the Thai girls. The fact that she doesn't want the boyfriend to understand anything when she chit chat on her phone points to a greater phenomenon in courtship. When a girl knows what's in your mind, and you don't know what's in her mind, it gives her freedom and power over you. Ironically, a man's intelligence is a liability in the relationship of a courtship as it severely curtails the freedom of the girl, and stifles her ability to stray.

Thais are very good at practising double standards.
Whenever a Thai girl is in a relationship with a foreigner, she never fails to portray herself as one who loves her parents and siblings. This has always been the standard script. And because you're the potential ATM, her 'love' for her family is automatically translated to becoming your responsibility as well as proof of love for her
And when the Thai girl is providing financial support to her b/f, do you honestly expect the b/f to 'support' the girl's parents and family ?

Remember, Thai Rak Thai. There is a cultural barrier that we should never think of overcoming

It helps if you know their language, and it takes awhile for you to get into their thinking process, especially the mindset of typical Thai girls when it comes to picking a husband.
