Many violations of Rule 8 using clones (without power). Can script track down "masters" ? Too much fun now-a-days !! Time to fine-tune Rule 8 to include "masters" ??

Actually does the system or boss penalised those buggers for intentional creating clones(powered or unpowered) spewing vulgarities through the reputation system without leaving nick? Once a upon a time, i know "it" does its job. But How about now?

Thanks for reply. I understand how people engage this forum to run business, what privilege they have, and how nothing better to do they are including war fighting.

There are just too many zaps for Sam to investigate. He sure not enough time to entertain every complain

There are some instances where the reputation points are kept but the power is dropped to zero.

That way, the samster will be forever power 0 no matter how many points he got upped

But I noticed that Sam boss stopped publicizing such activities lately. Perhaps he is more busy making money, which is of course logical and natural, rather than catching the endless clones / settling trivial scuffles which does not benefit him.

Naturally, if I were him, I will only respond when my own interests are at stake, which I guess will be most people's responses too if they were him

mate, so long you do not abuse the rep system there is nothing to be worried about,
that guy must have broken one of the rules to have his rep power reduced to 0.

your other point isnt fair to sam, i can tell you that the commercial side of the forum has been sublet to a vendor,
sam doesnt really care about the money, he only earns alittle more than enough to cover the overheads and the cost of running this forum.
if only u guys know what he has done over the years for this us and the forum, you will probably appreciate him more..

The only reason for that to happen is if the member concerned changes his email address but does not bother to reactivate his account.

Once the account is reactivated, the power returns.

The script for disabling those who use vulgarities has been disabled. While it does the job very efficiently, I was flooded with appeals from twits who claimed that they did not know the rules, that the guy deserved to be fucked, that I was being biased blah blah blah. I'm sick and tired of people who are unable to take the punishment they know they deserve and come up with all sorts of cock and bull stories to get themselves off the hook.

Some are simply too dumb to even understand the rule in the first place.

Understand difficulty of enforcing Rule 8 in all cases. However clear cases of violations should be dealt with - otherwise making Rule 8 redundant & SBF becoming a virtual "Wild West" . Sammyboyfor (supreme commander) can always be more compassionate - waiving penalties & giving benefits of doubt for appeals - in most cases (if not too much work / effort / cost involved). No need for costly scripts to go all out to catch violations. Let the lucky ones escape. IMHO; Rules without enforcement = no rules ( no need to agree).

Sorry Boss, just trying to give some positive feedback - not grumbling.
