Guys, me going to meet my future-in-laws soon.
I need to make a good lst impression especially to her grandmother.
Any advice?

Buy everybody in the household a present, preferably is something they would like from your gf's input. If possible have them all wrapped up nicely, from the nice wrapping, they will feel your sincereity and effort.

learn some simple thai conversation, and pump up your thai vocabulary as much as possible. they would be keen to speak to you, asking you questions, and will be delighted that you are able to understand they and reply directly. it would also assure to them you are not so much different from them, minimum language / cultural barriers, etc. so they will have less things to worry about.

it will add points too if they find you polite and humble. choke dee krup.

I will need to ask my gf who i need to get presents for.
I think at the moment, the most challenging task is to learn thai.
Even simple words.....
I will need to find some basic class to attend asap. Any recommendation?

You can go to (google) PA website to look for thai langauge class. There is a class starting in yuhua cc this month.

thai learning books (with cd) are pretty expensive here. if can, get someone to buy from you from bkk. books without cd not easy to learn as very hard to pick up the prounciations by reading.

if have iphone / smartphone, explore and download thai learning apps which you think is useful.

speak to your gf in pasa thai will also help. write down the new words you teaches you.

have a group of friends who also like to learn speaking thai. this gives you a chance to practise what you have learn.

Im married to my Thai wife 27 years old ( I am 25 =D ) for almost 3 years now, at the moment we have a 2 months old baby. Knew her in bangkok working as a nurse.

Staying in Sg so far relationship going very strong no complains. only complains about me drinking too much never exercise !

Congrats! you must be a very loving husband so much so that she managed to overcome life without som tum, lakorn, puu pasai thai .. bro, must try your best to make her happy, kon thai always want sabai sabai.. if quarrel too much, they will let go and search for their desired peaceful life.

My gf always tells me she like me to be fat. not sure how true.
