Exclusive: Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo scores with four women in four days

Goal ace Cristiano Ronaldo has been keeping up an amazing scoring rate as he recovers from injury - pulling a string of stunning girls in just days.

The crocked Manchester United star has proved a huge hit with female fans during a relaxing sunshine trip to Los Angeles.

Despite splitting with Spanish beauty Nereida Gallardo last week the perma-tanned hunk has wasted no time getting back in the mood for romance, notching up at least three flings in less than a week.

And that's not counting the shapely actress called Jen that we reported him partying with in his hotel room at 2am earlier in the holiday.

Ronaldo, 23, met Girl No1, a striking brunette named Nicole, while sitting by the pool at the high-class Beverly Hills Hotel last Thursday - and immediately seemed smitten. On Friday the couple made their first public appearance together, at exclusive nightspot Villa.

Ronaldo and his entourage joined other VIP guests including Leonardo DiCaprio and Christina Aguilera's husband Jordan Bratman.

The Portuguese footballer was immediately escorted upstairs to a private booth - and he was soon joined by Nicole. A source said: "His face lit up the moment he saw her - and they seemed inseparable for the rest of the night."

At least a dozen other young girls hovered around, desperately trying to catch his eye.

One even offered him a lap-dance for him, while another thrust her ample chest in his face and whispered seductively in his ear. But Ronaldo just kept chatting to Nicole, stroking her face and laughing raucously at her jokes.

The star's pals racked up a £6,000 bill guzzling Perrier Jouet champagne, Kettle One vodka and Johnny Walker Black Label whisky.

But Ronaldo did not touch a drop.

The source said: "He was obviously mindful of his health and stuck to water and fruit juices." At around 3.20am, Cristiano decided to leave - but went to great lengths to ensure he was not pictured with his new girlfriend.

The next day she was at his side, gazing at his rippling muscles as he topping up his tan near the pool.

But it didn't take long for Ronaldo's eye to start wandering again.

As he neared the end of his LA visit he suddenly turned his attentions to two buxom blondes. He and a group of friends had hired a white stretch Hummer to take them to open-air nightspot the Sky Bar when they were joined by a Victoria Silvestedt-lookalike.

The source said: "She was very 'LA' - you know, huge chest, peroxide hair and tight dress.

She seemed a bit obvious, but Cristiano certainly seemed to enjoy her company." The pair were later joined by the mystery blonde's equally voluptuous friend and spent two hours chatting before all three staged yet another elaborate escape plan.

The blondes left 20 minutes before the star's posse. Ronaldo arrived back at the hotel at 2.45am - and waited in reception.

He was grinning broadly as the girls arrived five minutes later. Our source said: "The girls didn't look like they were guests at the hotel. Ronaldo said something to them that made them giggle and they all walked - or rather hopped - off in the direction of his room."

Just minutes earlier, Ronaldo's former flame Nicole, who had not been out with him that night, was seen wandering through the lobby with a friend.

The source added: "Heaven knows what was going on. But Ronaldo is obviously a man who likes to keep his options open."

Premier League - Fergie: Ron Real move 'mistake'

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has told Cristiano Ronaldo that joining Real Madrid would be "the worst thing he could do".

Ferguson feels the 23-year-old winger needs to stay at Old Trafford if he is to grow as a player.

However, Ronaldo has refused to commit himself to the club and Real Madrid continue to court him, even though they were reported to FIFA by United.

Ferguson remains clearly unhappy about the situation and for the second time on the South African tour found himself fielding questions about a player who scored 42 goals last season.

He said: "I have a responsibility for all my players and their futures are a big concern for a coach.

"If you were asking advice and it was your son, you'd give him the best advice possible on his career.

"I honestly believe that could be the worst thing he could do; going to Real Madrid.

"He's 23 years old and he's at a fantastic football club. It's the best for him."

Ronaldo signed a long-term deal last season in which United won the Champions League and retained their Premier League title.

He is currently sidelined for three months after an ankle operation following the European Championships.

Ferguson reiterated that he expects Ronaldo to play a massive role again next season.

He said: "The future is he signed a five-year contract last year and he has four years left.

"That's definite. I know that, I've seen his signature. I feel I'm being strapped in and crucified here!

"Young lads can be twisted by the talk of money and the moves that are happening all the time in modern-day football.

"After the final in Moscow he was the happiest boy in the world. I think he knows genuinely where the best club is to be and that's Manchester United."

Re: Manchester United's Headliners, Articles and Rumours

Premier League - Tevez: Let Ronaldo go

Manchester United striker Carlos Tevez has broken rank by claiming Cristiano Ronaldo should be allowed to join Real Madrid if he wishes.

Ronaldo has been the transfer story of the summer, with the Portugal winger expressing his desire to play for Real, who in turn have made him their number one target.

United have been furious with Real's public pursuit of the player, once again reiterating this week that they have no intention of selling their prize asset.

But Old Trafford team-mate Tevez has risked incurring the wrath of manager Sir Alex Ferguson by claiming the European champions should not stand in Ronaldo's way if he wants to leave.

"The [United] team has great players, including Cristiano Ronaldo, of course," Tevez told AS.

"It's clear that he is a very important player for us, but this is a personal decision, which is up to him alone.

"I understand Cristiano. Every footballer wants to play at Real Madrid. On the other hand, I also think that everyone wants to play for Manchester United, but if what he seeks is something else, I think that should be respected.

"I have not talked to him, but when these things happen, neither side feels good."

Nah...C.Ronaldo was never the good player that many people see him to be.

He is just a player in a very good team managed by a great manager who knows how and where to use C.Ronaldo's lousy skills.

Re: Manchester United's Headliners, Articles and Rumours

Rooney to miss start of season with virus

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson could step up his attempts to sign a new striker after revealing Wayne Rooney is losing a battle to be fit for the start of the season.

Rooney picked up a virus during the Red Devils' pre-season tour of Africa and is struggling to shake it off in time to be considered for either the Community Shield clash against Portsmouth on August 10 or the start of the Barclays Premier League season the following week.

That leaves Ferguson seriously stretched in attack with Carlos Tevez and the seemingly out-of-favour Louis Saha the only established strikers fit and available.

Fraizer Campbell, a transfer target for Hull, has impressed in pre-season but may not be ready for a regular starting role, while Cristiano Ronaldo is out injured.

United boss Ferguson was, though, once again eager to put a full stop on the summer-long transfer saga involving the Portugal winger and suitors Real Madrid.

Ferguson told the club's official website: 'I doubt we'll get Rooney fit for the start of the season with the virus he's had.

'It's a virus he picked up in Nigeria and it's not a nice one, but quite a few have had it.

'It's such a bad virus and he's got to be training to be fit.'

Ferguson confirmed that Rooney was not suffering from malaria, against which the entire squad had been treated before the trip.

It is deeply frustrating for Rooney, who also saw the start to last season disrupted by injury when he suffered a broken metatarsal against Reading on the opening day of the 2007/08 campaign.

The news will come as a major blow to United, who will also begin the defence of their title without injured winger Ronaldo.

Ronaldo underwent ankle surgery earlier this summer and is not expected to return to action until October.

Ferguson continued: 'I don't know whether we will have a team ready. Nani is suspended, Anderson is in the Olympic Games.

'(Michael) Carrick's come in this morning and he may play a part of the game on Sunday.

'They've said it's a bad virus and Wayne's not back in yet, he's not been training. It's been a long time.'

Regarding the Ronaldo transfer, the Scot added: 'The matter is closed now. He (Ronaldo) is a Manchester United player - it's finished. He'll be playing here next season believe me. It's finished.'

Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon has also hinted their pursuit of Ronaldo may now be brought to an end after he revealed new arrival Rafael van der Vaart is their only likely purchase this summer.

'Rafael van der Vaart is the first and possibly the only signing of the summer for Real Madrid,' Calderon said.

'We believe that this squad is full of quality, of plenty of talent. It's a team which is a great family, very close.

'We said that the new arrivals would be few but of great quality. That seemed logical after two successful seasons in which we've brought in 19 young, promising players.

'This (the low number of signings) was a request of the board of directors.'

Re: Manchester United's Headliners, Articles and Rumours

I will stay at Man Utd - Ronaldo

Ronaldo admits he was responsible for the drawn-out transfer speculation
Cristiano Ronaldo has confirmed that he will remain a Manchester United player for "at least one more year".

The 23-year-old Portugal winger had frequently expressed his desire to leave for Spanish champions Real Madrid this summer.

But he told Portuguese paper Publico: "Sir Alex Ferguson heard my arguments, I heard his and it was settled that the best thing would be for me to stay.

"I can confirm that, next season, I will play for Manchester United."

United manager Ferguson, speaking after the club's friendly with Juventus on Wednesday, said he was "pleased" Ronaldo was staying.

And Ferguson gave a revealing insight into how he dealt with the Ronaldo transfer saga, which saw two months of frenzied speculation that the player would leave.

"I flew to Portugal some weeks ago and we cleared the air and he spoke to some of the players," he told MUTV.

"The boy has been through a troubled time in terms of the approaches from Spain, but once he knew my stance, he then settled down. I was responsible for all this controversy

"The fans have got to understand; it's very difficult when a young boy is tempted by all this money.

"We can put this to bed now. It's finished and the boy is a Manchester United player and that's the most important thing."

Ronaldo, under contract with United until 2012, is currently recovering from surgery on an ankle injury and is likely to be sidelined until the end of September.

But the Portuguese forward used the interview to underline his desire to achieve the heights of last season in which he was the club's top scorer with 42 goals.

"Before rumours emerge saying that I will play against my will, I want to make this clear - whoever says or writes that is lying," Ronaldo told Publico.

"I will play for Manchester with all my heart and soul. I will fight and honour that shirt with the same commitment and dedication as always."

Ronaldo also admitted he played his part in fuelling the speculation and that he was guilty of fracturing United's relationship with Real Madrid. "I was responsible for all this controversy," he added.

"I was the one who publicly expressed my desire to go to Real Madrid. I ended up being, even involuntarily, responsible for the poor relationship between the two clubs."

Yet the Portuguese winger, reigning double footballer of the year in England after helping Manchester United to the Premier League title and a Champions League triumph last season, did not rule out an eventual move to Madrid at some point in his career.

"I knew Real Madrid were interested in signing me and that they had allegedly made a very high offer to Manchester United," he added.

"My desire was, for some time, that Manchester had accepted my transfer to Madrid. Saying otherwise would be to trick people and my own consciousness."

Re: Manchester United's Headliners, Articles and Rumours

Fergie May Forego Summer Spending

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has admitted he may not buy anyone this summer.

Ferguson has not added to his Champions League-winning squad, despite being linked with a host of big-name targets.

Tottenham striker Dimitar Berbatov is still on the Scot's wanted list and discussions will continue over other potential signings until the transfer deadline at the end of the month.

However, despite a growing injury list that looks certain to keep Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney and half a dozen other senior men out of the opening Premier League game against Newcastle on August 17, Ferguson may keep his cash where it is.

"We might well start 2008-09 with largely the squad we had last season - and after all, they didn't do too badly," he said.

"We have not brought in the kind of top-quality player everyone seems to be expecting.

"We are still researching and looking but it is not easy and certainly we are not desperate."

In Nani, who will be suspended against Newcastle, and Anderson, who is on Olympic duty with Brazil, United have two men likely to show significant improvement on their first year at Old Trafford.

Angola striker Manucho is due to apply for a work permit and success of that, plus the emergence of Rafael da Silva at right-back and the failure to get Berbatov for a price he feels is realistic could be enough to convince Ferguson he does not require any new blood.

"We have the right balance of youth and experience thanks to the work we did in the transfer market the previous year," he claimed.

"In terms of numbers we have been boosted by the return from loan of several young players who have the potential to go all the way.

"So I think we already have the men for the job."

I hate to say it, but i was right when i posted the above in June. Haha, now CR trying very hard to do damage control with all MU fans. Fergie must have promised him certain stuff to make him change his mind about leaving for RM. But i am of the opinion that CR shd be free to go next season!
