That's how I'm imporoving my mandarin too. I am chinese, but have spoken only english all my life. The only way to improve one's chinese is to surround yourself with chinese speaking people. And, trust me, that's what I've been doing for the last several months. I always surround myself with Chinese Speaking people - only they often seem to be girls and naked. Haha
