Hi everyone,

it'a a matter of how much the girl really love you. I have thai gf who tell me she must have 1 million baht for dowry, then I ask her last time your father marry your mother got give 1 million baht or not. You see their family status also not high society. Anyway she is history.

My current thai gf, she love me very much, when I ask her how much should I pay for dowry, she say never mind, no money also nevermind. She say the family is not greedy type, even though they are poor, living in village. Free, and I can marry her away. I say no, I will pay her a decent sum so that at least her family will have some face in front of the villagers

2 kind of person, 2 kind of answers.

Aiyo.... to marry a thai ger need to give so much "drowry" meh?

I have just came across a report of a thai man marrying thai ger and he only pay 10k baht to the girl family....

Just because you are foreigner, so special have to give so much to the girl family? I tell u, the more u give, the more they think u very loaded.

My advice: Act poor in front of the girl. Also good time to test water to see if the girl likes u or the $$.... Then give whatever u think u can afford but DONT GIVE TOO MUCH JUST TO PROVE U R GOD DAMNED RICH.....

Your actions MIGHT BE YOUR DEATH WISH IN FUTURE.......

If a THAI GER likes u, she will still marry u if U R NOT RICH..but make sure u can also take care of her. We are living in a real world

My few friends in singapore only pay few thousands of dowry when they marry local ger. I will pay few thousand, conversion will be around 100K-200K. Which I think is already a lot for their standards. I am not marrying a rich ger, and she say no need also can, but the mother take care of her till so big, its a present from me and a way of showing gratitude to the mother. I will take over from there.
1 million baht, conversion around 40+K sgd, this is a lot and I don't see many local singaporeans give that much dowry or anywhere near.

Bro FL Lover have bring up this very important word "foreigner" The family will always view us rich regardless what nation u come from. especially when they hear "Singapore" LOL

anyway not said no give lar. it up to u to give but dont be so hero give them so much n later ask for trouble in the future..... u will slap urself back later when they ask for money since u can give them alot.... to me reasonable 50k to 100k baht por laew lar.... lol that not including throw party for thai wedding n buy gold hor... just for info 1 baht gold cost about 16k baht at present market. So if she ask for 5 baht gold = 80k baht hor kekeke

i ever talk to one guy sending money up to his ger in thailand. talk to him at the remitted counter, he having problem sending 5k up due to regulation need to see this n that. anyway after advice him how to do it. we have a short chat n he told me his sinsoot was 800k Baht.
