Advice for a nub in Singapore

Hi there everyone,

I've been reading many avid members' stories of their love lives for a while and at times many have been quite endearing. I being new in Singapore for work purposes and trying to move on with a new relationship after a breakup I had a year ago. I would be obliged if some of the gratious forum members would share advice on approaching persons of the opposite sex (females ).

I have read and heard of numerous horror stories regarding significant amount of gold digging females in Singapore which may or may not have lead to a misconceived notion of stereotyping. Wish to avoid females that may result in those that seek to exploit me for financial gain. Thanks in advance for advice given.
