"Shootout" (Marine & Riverside)
=======================by bro micmac888

riverside @punggur is ah kau punggur ...., their taste, style, technics are time time tested. and it seems that ah kau's signature dish 'assam pedas' has been left out (maybe ibu doesn't like it?)....distance has always been the Only draw back for ah kau.

I apologize for not having to try marine seafood since they took over the current location from a used car dealer some time back..despite the fact that I past them by couple of times a day. I'm sure that crowd mentality does play a part in my decision...then again great food are not measured by cost, weight or distances alone...a general consensus, word of mouth that induce repeat customers is what make good food great. fresh ingredients always is a plus point but it is consistency in the taste that prevails. riverside is hidden in one corner of batam and into its second generation. the taste is still there despite the change of hands and from a wooden structure restaurant to a concrete one.
bengkong laut (933/555), rezeki@batu besar, setia budi@nongsa, hai-o@marina park, ah kau punggur, barelang jambatn4 and 6, tg piayu and batu merah etc has always been the pillars of batam seafood scene. one may despise them but their presence today since their humble beginning is definitely a testament itself.
food scene evolve (A1 and Nagoya foodcourt are history)and cooking style /taste advances(rica rica ikan panggang also history..sic!)but there will always be a slot for newcomers.

anyway, there are few eating place on the right of jambatan 4 bareleng (direction from jambat 1).. 2 are up for take-overs, let me know if anyone is interested.

I shall make a serious effort to drop by marine for dinner ...i promise.
oh and its seems that most recent eating place's bill photo-ed is flouting current indo laws....the govt tax is missing!

Re: Batam Info Thread

bro godspeed2488824:
try bcc hotel. they have 2-3rooms family suite and its location is near to most amenities. sorry not able to update on their price.

with regards to prices in 2003.. (xchange rate is about 4850)
350k = $72 = rp710 000 (current xchange 9750)
factoring in inflation and gdp, current booking price of cewek I must admit are still within band.
hence it is not rocket science how much one expect to pay presently but pure mentality; having said that, attitude and services provided ceweks presently are detestably low compare to yester-years.
could scarce resources, demand & supply or globalization the cause?i am sure there is always a "search this thread" button for a better perspective. cos I truly believe that this is a place for sharing not bickering. acceptance and disproval of views are very individualistic and could never be enforced.

Hehehe...you just shared more about V salon than all my Batam trip summaries on V salon all added together.

An apple that cost S$0.50 there is sold at S$1+ at Nagoya Hill Mall, maybe S$0.90 at BCS,perhaps S$0.70 at DC Mall and likely cost almost the same price as in Kepril Mall/Mitra Mall. My definition of value for money in City Walk Mall,Sunboss.

Dont believe me,go have a look yourself. My mum's friends who used to work in Linen Factories in Indonesia before told me they were selling close to factory prices. Most of their items there were locally manufactured. Not the cheapest, but definitely not expensive for Batam locals.

The really good price items were the Odd Sizes, eg shoes that were left only one or two sizes. Its selling even below offered cost,hehehe...

Nice listing for food. Ah Kau at punggur? His prawns are good. But some places are too far out to frequent many times.

I have only been to Batam for less than 2 years as of date. It is interesting to know that Batam SYT cost S$50 15 years ago.

It must have been a steal for me to book an overnight SYT for S$61-S$71 in 2015. A very good-service MILF at S$51 in 2014.
(witnessed by quite a few who joined me in my group trips)

https://sammythe.guru/showpost.p...ostcount=34203

One of the perks for organizing group trips to Batam is they can physically witness most of what i talk about in this thread were true.

(i used the word "MOST of what i talk about" instead of "ALL of what i talk about" simply becos no one can walk thru my 23 trips to Batam in just 3D2N of group trip/s)

Hehehe...very much often,i have all eyes staring at me whenever i tell my colleagues, friends and family that i am going to Batam. I just tell them Batam is going to be part of my retirement plan for the future,hehehe...and if i can make enough money from where i can enjoy myself,i dont see why it is a bad place to be in. And all of them agreed with me.

Its a good place to bring things that i do not need from Sillypore to Batam to sell and at the same time buy cheap stuffs from Batam to Sillypore to sell high. At times i bring things from Sillypore to Batam, repair them and then bring back to Sillypore too.

My cheonging in Batam is gradually becoming more sustainable as i go on and over time,i may some day be able to cheong Batam totally FREE!! Who knows,i may even get a chance to make some clean profit simply by enjoying myself in Batam,hehehe...

Note : I do not make profit from bros who joined me in my group trips (in fact, most time i have to lose some money),almost everything was on dutch with receipts shown to them. For things w/o a receipt, price will be make known to them and their opinion will be seek.

Most time they pay higher prices from money changing,to girls,to hotel rooms etc w/o me,hehehe...

Lasegar actually works too. But you will probably need more than a litre of it just to have the same effect for a normal dosage of AndroG.

Thanks again brudder ~~~~~~
When i talk about side effect here,i am talking about Andrographis Paniculata aka AndroG's side effect on its own (w/o the cap). One of its visible side effect thru REALLY heavy overdosing,hehehe...it works the direct opposite of viagra. However,do not be overly alarm as the known effect goes away in a few days.(water soluble stuffs)

For me,when the maximum dosage is 3 caps per day,i took 5 caps. Drink a lot of water thereafter. And my definition of REALLY heavy overdosing above means when i am ask to take 3 caps per day,i went to take 20-50 caps. That is definitely not right.

Capsule that are made from vegetable oil are safe for consumption, hence i am urging you to get those approved for sale by HSA. To sell AndroG off the shelves in Sillypore,HSA needs to 1st approve it. And if you have doubts about the caps, you can still uncap the capsules.

How HSA determine if the AndroG is safe is by collecting 4 samples of the herbs, send 3 of them to independent labs and 1 to their own. The lab test of all 4 results must be very close to the same. Consumed herbs that claims to contain pure 100% of its said ingredient needs the approval of HSA. However, the empty capsule that holds the herbs require approval from AVA.

Do not believe anyone, including me when it comes to medicinal stuffs. Always read and seek around if you are interested so as to look into 2nd or 3rd opinion from professional medical practitioners. And i am not a professional.

When it comes to herbs,i can go on and on and on non-stop,hehehe...there is a yin and yang when it comes to herbal consumption. What works for me well may not work for you at all.(reminds me of the meat and poison theory) Every kind of herbs, every western medicine WILL HAVE side effect. If "it" is good for something,it will be not-good for something else. One obvious example will be smoking. Is smoking really all bad and no good? Hehehe...think again.

Disclaimer : Smoking did does more bad than good according to scientific studies.

In Batam,i am also looking for honey as well. Not those that were sold in shops and contantly known to be called Pure Honey. I am looking for unprocessed Raw Honey. It is one of my source for Vitality instead of "Vitagen",hehehe...cordycep,enzymatic stuffs, algae, mushrooms, raw organic black vinegar etc.

But all depends on what is a "SYT". I think everyone has a different understanding of what girls could be "SYT" or not.

I may provide these objective figures for booking in joints:
- 6 years ago the cheapest girl I found after touring ALL joints was 250k (a MILF at New Berlian), the bottom price was usually 300k for MILFs, while the most expensive was 1M (a super SYT, nearly a baby looking like a schoolgirl with high heels, at Indah2);
- few months ago, instead, the range was 600k-1.8M, again after touring most important joints (and the girl priced 1.8M was nothing like a baby indeed)

My first visit to BATAM was in July 2010, almost 6 years ago. Yes, 3 nights at Formosa. I found my first report from Batam, posted on ISG (I did not know SB yet)!
It's funny to read that report now, after 6 years of experience. Some paragraphs sound so naif now! There are some highlights extracted from my old report that I wish to share with you, just for fun.

Discovering a world
"In batam, booking seems to be the word used to indicate politely this profession. a girl once told me "i came here for booking, to get some money"."

No Google Maps
"Maps? what is a map? i could not find a decent map of nagoya and batam. in the hotel, they were surprised by my request. i must have been the first one asking it. after a long search, they gave me a photocopy of a simple outline of nagoya, not in scale."

Ultra-Cheap
Even if it was my first visit to Batam, I went visiting one of those places on 3 floors, with girls waiting in poor rooms, like Morena today. The price for ST was 50k.

Kampung Bule
I also went to explore the scene in pubs of Kampung Bule. I went to Asylum and I took one of the girls back to my hotel for overnight (booking). I paid 500k.
It sounds incredible, seen from the perspective of today (I guess those girls now demand 1.5M or more to bule visiting the pubs). I cannot remember her, but in my report I wrote I was very happy of her.

Mata Kucing (Batam's Mini Zoo) :

I am actually eyeing on KTVs,the clean ones instead. Temples and other places of worship, farming agriculture and some other places of interest in Batam lesser known to the majority. I believes it may be a good mix and match entertainment for everyone, whether if one is a cheongster or not,hehehe...then again,i am usually No Action but Talk Only (NATO).
Tis would be interesting. Looking fwd to see it if u decide not to nato.

If u need any help,i'll chip in.

I have yet to learn tat 51 dollar overnite trick from u.
