Doubling of HDB apartment prices and the slow extinction of 24 hr coffee shops.......
An honorable member of the Coffee Shop Has Just Posted the Following:
HDB homes doubled in price in the last ten years. How much more the increase in material costs to build them? 20%? How much have income of the average Sinkie increased in the corresponding period? Double? No? Not even able to keep up with inflation? Where is the money that they are supposed to have to pump back to circulate in the Sinkie economy? Paying HDB mortgages? Why no usual Braddell Road Brothel prostitute reports of overflowing booking of December holiday packages? Why no overbooking of chalets in Sinkieland. Where are the thronging masses in the shopping malls? Why are there more and more early closing of once 24 hour coffee shops and those that are still open have so few customers? One comforting thought. We still have a brilliant Prime Minister with the extraordinary great genes of Lee Kuan Yew. May the family perpetuates through eternity.........................
