Re: Going for vasectomy

Vasectomy is minor surgery to block sperm from reaching the semen that is ejaculated from the penis. Semen still exists, but it has no sperm in it. After a vasectomy
the testes still make sperm, but they are soaked up by the body.

Vasectomy, or vasoligation, is an elective surgical procedure for male sterilization or permanent contraception. During the procedure, the male vasa deferentia are cut and tied or sealed so as to prevent sperm from entering into the urethra and thereby prevent fertilization of a female through sexual intercourse. Vasectomies are usually performed in a physician's office, medical clinic, or, when performed on an animal, in a veterinary clinic. Hospitalization is not normally required as the procedure is not complicated, the incisions are small, and the necessary equipment routine. The leading potential complication is post-vasectomy pain syndrome.

You won’t notice any difference other than no longer being stressed about accidental pregnancies!

From the quoted post : Cost about $600 for the procedure

A condom cost average (common brand) $1.50

So about 400 condom-less copulation breakeven

Money aside, the pleasure of not wearing a condom and not worrying about unwanted pregnancy, it is worth going for the vasectomy if desired

Re: Going for vasectomy

Good for raw with a fix partner. But still need rubber with freelancers.

Not much saving cost wise. So, those who goes for this procedure better have a fix partner

Re: Going for vasectomy

Go Polyclinic for referral, doctor will give u the standard risk notification like it's almost irreversible blah blah blah. You ok they will make arrangements to call u for consultation w specialists in nearest government hospital.

Someone from hospital will call you for appointment. First session doctor will see your cock, ask standard qns and again brief u on risk about it being irreversible blah blah blah ...

Surgery is then separately arranged. U will be under GA. Wake up balls ache like gonna kick jialat. Goes away after less than an hour. Small incision sealed by thread and glue that will dissolve by itself. No sex and exercise for about a week. As how other bros have shared, sperm becomes watery than b4.

U will need to continue to wear CD for dunno how long to make sure those normal sperms are expelled. There will b a separate session in SGH to test sperms count Dunno how many weeks or month later. U will need to jack off into a cup for them to test.

Naughty fact. They will let u have a room which is decently big w sofa and wash room. No one will check who goes in w u. One bro brought his wife or fwb. It's a good idea.

Separate session to see results and advice from doctor.

Re: Going for vasectomy

just went for vasectomy 1wk back.

The procedure process quite straight forward.

Book an appt for polyclinic --> ask for referral letter to do vasectomy --> they will ask u to select a hospital of your choice --> choose the nearest hospital.

take note that the next appt with urologist is quite long. so when they give u a date, you can login to healthhub sg and choose an earlier date if you want to get it done asap, u need to go through the usual consultation before they give u a date for the operation.

Now the actual day:

1) Depends on your procedure, LA or GA. if GA u gotta fast and take blood test and precheck yada yada before the actual day..

2) I picked LA, because i don't like the feeling of waking up feeling nauseous and giddy.

3) u need to suffer 2 jabs near your balls area.. because u need to numb that area. op is close to 1hr, u will be place in observation ward for almost 1hr.. u need to pee before u can leave.

4) Likely 7-8 days of hospitalization leave.

will continue my post once i have enough time later.
