the woman's charter was "invented" way back in the 60s during the colonial days.

Back those days, women are good housewives and they will never have any intention to screw her hubby up. Getting a divorce is an embarassment back those days

But thesedays, women are different. They are more affluent and independent. Divorce to them is nothing but just another "break-up". And if men can have affairs, they can too.

IMO, the woman's charter is outdated and does not reflect the current lifestyle and financial ability of modern women.

If one were to study the divorce rates, one will know it has went up a few times and they were contributed by request from women (due to the advantage they get from the charter, which they smartly put it to good use). The rate is now 25%. Out of 4 couples, one will divorce. In otehr words, out of 4 married brothers, one will have hell of a headache splitting his assets and pay her money every month (and not getting laid)

And now the garment is thinking how to reduce the rate. The solution is simple : review the woman charter and make it updated with the current women way of life. IT IS NOT ALWAYS MEN WHO ARE THE ONES THAT SCREW UP A MARRIAGE.

So better think twice before you get yourself married.

dat is so long d first wife agrees.... which i think now in modern singapore, dis is highly unlikely loh...

n if d gal is a non-muslim, she'll have to convert to muslim.

fyi, PIs are normally ex-regulars of police force so they have a pretty good idea on d application of law on following n stuff lidat... obviously dat guy is not too smart...

normally if u request for annulement, d other party may screw u up in court for lying to d court dat he/she agrees for annulement... lidat u can kena jailed up to 2 weeks for lying to d court... dat is d worst case scenario...

d lawyer advise best to apply for separation n den get a divorce after 1 yrs w gal's consent o 3yrs w/o consent from date of last contact..... date of last contact is defined as d date when both acted as couples.... meaning if she skopped rice for ur dinner o buy clothes for u oso got count.... so really have to think thrice/four times abt it...

personal experience from one of mi frenz who end up giving up his entire 75% share of his flat (total net worth of flat @ dat time is ard $300k. so his share is $225K.) so dat he can get his ex-wife off his back.....

to avoid the lying, hv the other party sign an affidavit confirming they agree to annulment before court.

separation w consent is THREE years. separation withOUT consent is FOUR years. can sign deed of separation to fix the date.

I got a fren laggi better. He and his ex-wife proceed with traditional chinese dinner only. Not only they earn from the dinner, they spend a good holiday without spending much using the extra Ang Bao $$$. Within a week after honeymoon, they seperated and so call "divorce". He told me he was smart enough to delay the ROM. After the "divorce", he cancelled his ROM and never ever lawfully married. No maintenance and no court case. SWEET!!

Just came to my mind this trick,,, wonder whether it work???
If the maintenance fee too high,,, can try this trick………
After divorce, get someone to trackle/sain the ex-wife, then married her…. If I am not wrong,,,, maintenance fee stop after she get remarry……. Within a short period,,, file for annulment,, both parties have a clean record at ROM,,, he also no need to pay maintenance fee cos it only a short period. At the same time,,,,, maintenance fee for the 1st husband cannot be reverse……. Thereafter u can just pay that guy some money….

This trick may work if only the maintenance fee is high,,,, “长痛不如短痛” ,,,, can some expert bros throw some light to see whether this trick work?
