d court will calculate based on percentage of contribution each party have towards all their assets... for mi frenz case dat give up his entire 75% share, he paid for the first installment n oso d monthly mortagages..... but d court deemed dat d wife has done household chores to maintenance d house (cleaning d house, sweeping d floor etc.) of which she dun do, d court nonetheless still award 25% to her... but his ex-wife think it's too little n wanted more (as advised by her muther) n hence d prolonged argument on d share of d flat... n he wanted to cut it short n hence willingly give up everything.. in d end, his ex-wife sold d house, paid off d remaining mortagages n pocketed d remaining... which is abt $50K... cold hard cash... nbz...

in case ur wife is earning more n house 100% paid by her... depending on ur statement of contribution, i think it'll borders ard 0%-15%.... as man r deemed not to do household chores.... so LL loh...

that is correct, maintenance fee stop when the "female" remarry, but not the other way round.

After divorce, get someone to trackle/sain the ex-wife, then married her…. If I am not wrong,,,, maintenance fee stop after she get remarry……. Within a short period,,, file for annulment,, both parties have a clean record at ROM,,, he also no need to pay maintenance fee cos it only a short period. At the same time,,,,, maintenance fee for the 1st husband cannot be reverse……. Thereafter u can just pay that guy some money….

This trick may work if only the maintenance fee is high,,,, “长痛不如短痛” ,,,, can some expert bros throw some light to see whether this trick work?

the problem is this: Will the gal agrees to annulment with the second guy?

in this case, he will still need to pay her maintenance, but maybe at a minimum sum.

Whether will some of her assets go to him is hard to tell, but I don't think he will get a lot.

Means a woman can do anything she want after marriage cos even if she is wrong n if there is a divorce, she still wun lose out like in the case of a guy?

For annulment, it means the marriage never taken place. It means you get back your status as "single" rather than "divorced". If the marriage has never taken place, there is no need to pay maintenance

as I said bro, woman charter was created back in the 60s. Back then, you seldom heard of ladies fooling around behind their hubby. But you will always hear hubby bashing their wife and all that. So woman charter is there to protect the wives.

But these days, there are more women fooling around bhind their hubby back than men bashing their wife. However, the law refused to recognise this fact.

hmmm. according to my lawyer, a common misconception in annulment is that ppl thinks annulment no need to pay maintenance and he says that in singapore law, annulment also needs to pay maintenance but usually because annulment is better for the woman, they usually dont ask for maintenance.
