My Pupil's Parent
I used to be a teacher, teaching in a primary school at East Coast. I have left the service a year ago.
During my final year at the school, I was teaching a Primary 6 class. It was quite a big class, with 38 pupils. I taught them English and Mathematics. I had to prepare them for the PSLE. We had our first Parent-Teacher Meeting after Term 1. All my parents were anxious of their child's academic performance and PSLE preparation so all of them had made an appointment to see me. Things were usual at the meeting, which was held on a Saturday. I was hoping that it would all end soon so that I could in-line skate at East Coast Park. There was this parent I really needed to talk to. That pupil's academic performance was extremely weak, especially his English and Science. He was from Chongqing, China. He had relocated to Singapore for almost 2 years but his English was still atrocious! I wanted to speak to his parent about his condition and be mentally prepared that he might have to repeat Primary 6 again. A tall and fair-skinned lady stepped into my classroom. She was wearing a Dior sunglasses, a white long-sleeve blouse with blue stripes, a black tailored jacket and tailored black pants. She was wearing a pair of Staccato black high heel shoes. I could recognise the brand of her black leather handbag tucked underneath her arm - Prada. She was also wearing light makeup. I could not tell if she was the parent of which pupil of mine. She sat on the chair opposite me and introduced herself as the mother of the pupil from China. She moved her sunglasses up and laid it on her hair, just like a hair band. I noticed she had nice, silky hair. After she had identified herself, she extended her right hand towards me. I shook her hand with a firm grip. I noticed that her well-manicured fingernails were polished. She commented that she liked men with a good handshake and lamented that many young people these days do not even bother to shake hands properly. I concurred. Before I could comment on her son's academic performance, she jumped the gun by acknowledging that she was aware of her son's poor academic performance and asked me what could she do to help him. I recommended her a few ways to improve her son's English. While we were conferencing, she proceeded to remove her jacket and placed it on the seat next to her. I could faintly notice that she was wearing a bright red brassiere because her blouse was a little translucent. As she leaned herself forward (I thought to listen to me better), the top button on her blouse somehow became undone. I could not help but stared at her cleavage which was playing peek-a-boo with my eyes from her plunging collar. As time was limited (the next parent was already waiting outside the door), she suggested if we could meet up for dinner that day - her treat. Of course, I jumped at this opportunity to get upclose and personal with this parent so I agreed. We exchanged our name card (yes, teachers have name card these days) and I promised to contact her to confirm the time and venue right after the Parent-Teacher Meeting. (to be continued...) |

Re: My Pupil's Parent
I heaved a sigh of relief after meeting my last parent. The Parent-Teacher Meeting was finally over and I was looking forward to in-line skating at East Coast Park. I quickly grabbed my haversack and my pair of in-line skates left under my table in the staff common room. I headed towards the school gate and waited for a taxi by the sidewalk.
While I was waiting for a taxi, my cell phone rang. I reached out for my cell phone in my trouser pocket. I looked at the number of the incoming call but I could not recognise who that was. I answered the call and a familiar voice boomed into my ear. It was the mother of my student from China. I realised I had forgotten to contact her after my Parent-Teacher Meeting. I apologised profusely to her for not calling her. She replied that she could understand as I just had a very busy day, meeting so many parents. Fortunately, she was a very understanding parent! I told her I was heading towards East Coast Park so she initiated our dinner there. She asked me if I were comfortable having dinner at McDonald's and I replied that I was fine with fast food. She said that she was shopping at Parkway Parade and it would only take her about 15 minutes to reach there. Just then, a taxi stopped in front of me and I hopped into it. I told her I just got into a taxi and I could reach there in 5 minutes. So she apologised to me because she would have to keep me waiting. I replied I was fine with that and we bid each other farewell and ended the phone conversation. During the short journey in the taxi, I tried to picture what her topic of discussion could be and tried to prepare myself with politically correct answers by anticipating her questions. Teachers these days must be very careful not to say things that could potentially be offensive to parents. One complaint a parent make to the MOE and the teacher's career could be jeopardised. I also had flashbacks of her look. I remembered her business attire and branded accessories. She gave me the impression that she was a working but rich mother. I remembered she had light makeup on her face and she looked like she was in her mid-30s. In my humble opinion, she looked like a MILF and my naughty thought told me that I would definitely not reject making out with her. I was quite aroused by then and my thought moved to her white translucent blouse, bright red brassiere and the peek-a-boo cleavage. Before I could proceed my naughty thought further, I felt the taxi jerked to a stop and a low-pitched voice telling me I had reached my destination. I paid the taxi driver and alighted. I looked at my watch. I took slightly more than 10 minutes to arrive instead. Since she claimed that she would arrive in 15 minutes, I might as well wait for her at the carpark. Indeed, I did not have to wait too long... (to be continued...) |
